Our Story

Creating this library was part of a project to develop a soybean trait that is resistant to rust (Phakopsora pachyrhizi). While that effort is on going, I am releasing the germplasm to the rest of the world. The SALK library has been incredibly useful for the Arabidopsis community and I likewise hope this will be useful for your soybean research.

About

What you will receive:
– 20 seeds from a T1 plant
– Some seeds (the parent is segregating) will contain TDNA inserted into the specified locus

About the mutant plant:
– T0 plant was sequenced to determine TDNA location
– T1 plant was checked with PCR to confirm plant is transgenic
– T1 plants are segregating. It is up to you to breed a stable line.
– Williams 82 ecotype.

About the TDNA:
It is a 3kb sequence containing a constitutively expressed hygromycin resistance gene.

Recomendations for PCR confirmation of TDNA:
Fwd primer 5′-AGAGCTTACACTCTCATTCCATCAACAAAGA-3′
Rev primer 5′-CAATAGGTCAGGCTCTCGCTGAATG-3′
